All the activities of Bala Mandir come under the purview of CSR as defined in Schedule VII of the Companies Act 2013 and hence any contribution made by a corporate entity to Bala Mandir Kamaraj Trust would qualify as its “CSR spend”. Bala Mandir will provide all necessary documentation to the company to verify and confirm about this eligibility.

Corporates could consider sponsorship of children under the normal Bala Mandir schemes or consider special projects which can be designed specifically to suit their focus area so that they can get more strongly engaged in the same. Along with the annual administrative and financial reports, CSR donors will receive specific reports of child/children, activity and project sponsored in Bala Mandir.

Bala Mandir undertakes number of developmental and infrastructure improvement initiatives every year as per the needs of the children. Corporates can get involved in these projects and support Bala Mandir on the projects which could be in the area of childcare, education. They may also support higher education of specific children, the medical programmes or even choose to provide a general donation, without specifying an area of focus, thus allowing Bala Mandir to use the donation as per its discretion. Bala Mandir will ensure that the money is spent in one of the areas as per Schedule VII and all necessary documentations provided as per the requirement.
