On 27th March 2026, the MNC unit of Bala Mandir Kamaraj Trust celebrated its annual graduation event, “MovingAhead,” marking an important milestone in the journey of children with special needs.
This year, 11 children from the Upanayan Early Intervention Programme transitioned to special schools or the Jivikam Skill Training Unit, while 4 students from Jivikam moved on to further vocational training. The young graduates, dressed in gowns, were recognised for their progress, with educators sharing their individual achievements.
The event featured lively performances, including the action song “Vidukathai” by Early Intervention children, self-introductions by Jivikam students, and a joyful parent dance, “Nathavindhu.”
Heartfelt parent testimonials highlighted the transformative impact of early intervention and consistent support. The Chief Guest, Dr. S. Thenmozhi, emphasized nurturing confidence and self-esteem in every child, while Guest of Honour, Mr. T.M.N. Deepak Nathan, spoke about future opportunities and the importance of identifying meaningful career pathways.
“Moving Ahead” is more than a ceremony—it celebrates resilience, growth, and the collective efforts of children, families, and educators, inspiring a continued commitment to inclusion and empowerment.
