All donations to Bala Mandir Kamaraj Trust are eligible for 50% tax exemption under section 80(G) of Income Tax Act of 1961.
Importance of Donation / Sponsorship
Families facing crisis or extreme hardship struggle to provide adequate care to the children and this leads to the children not being able to reach their full potential. Bala Mandir Kamaraj Trust’s activities are all directed to supporting children under difficult circumstances. Our initiatives focus on supporting the children to face the difficult situation with confidence. The programmes aim to achieve holistic development with individual child focus.
Bala Mandir is largely dependent on donations / sponsorship from its well-wishers for funding its activities. Various sponsorship schemes are defined and the donors could choose from these or provide a general donation.
Sponsor a Meal – You can choose to share your special day (e.g. birthdays, anniversaries, memorial days etc.) or an event in your life with the children in the Bala Mandir Home by hosting a meal for the children in Bala Mandir Home. You and your family (upto 5 members) can also visit our premises and share the meal along with the children. We will try to accommodate your date in our calendar. If the date is already booked, then we can offer your prayer on this day and consider your sponsorship for an available alternative slot.
Sponsor Education – You could sponsor the cost of education for a child. All donors will receive an annual report on the activities on the area chosen for sponsorship including profile and progress of the individual child that the donor would be supporting.
Sponsor Kinship Care child – Under this programme, Bala Mandir supports children from the economically weak families who have lost one or both parents to Covid and who continue to stay with their families. The sponsorship supports a part of the school, tuition fees and other online interventions using mobile phones to bridge learning gaps. Social workers visit the families and schools to assess the status and help.
Support ECCD Village project – Under this programme, Bala Mandir supports the village Anganwadi centres and also visits the families of pregnant women and infants and toddlers to spread the best early childhood development practices to help strengthen the development process for the children below the age of 3 years
Become a Regular Donor
Regular giving helps us plan long term projects. There is a need for regular donation since the children we work with need ongoing support. Your regular donations help us to plan impactful programmes. You could also consider endowment donations. Please call us to discuss the ideas.
