BM Schools Annual Day – 31st August 2024

Bala Mandir Vidyalaya Nursery and Primary School and Satyamurthi School celebrated their combined Annual Day on 31st August 2024 in Vani Mahal-T-Nagar. The event commenced at 10:00 a.m. with a prayer, followed by the welcome address by Ms. Janani. The annual report for 2023-24 was presented, highlighting the school’s achievements and progress by Ms. Mala Sankar, HM Vidyalaya School.

The cultural programme was the highlight of the Celebration, featuring a diverse range of performances that showcased the students talents and creativity. The theme of the programme was centered around the 75-year anniversary of Bala Mandir – ‘Every Child Matters’.

The programme began with a beautiful welcome dance, Nitranadam with lamps, performed by the students. Next was a Tamil Skit – ‘Kalvi Kanavu’ – A Tribute to Sri. Kamarajar and Smt. Manjubhashini. two visionaries who played a significant role in shaping the schools ideals. The KaRre students presented a beautiful Peacock Dance that highlighted the importance of inclusion. This was followed by an English Skit – ‘Impact of Founders on Education’, the skit was a fantasy drama that showcased the students creativity and imagination.

Last but not the least, the Primary students presented a dance with a vibrant forest scene, complete with animals and butterflies, which was enjoyed by everyone.

The prize distribution ceremony recognized the students achievements and hard work. The Schools also recognized the outstanding contributions of its staff members. The Teaching Excellence Award was conferred upon Mr. Citrarasu and Ms. Nithya Bharathi, acknowledging their dedication and commitment to education. Long Service Awards were presented to Ms. Hepsibah and Ms. Renuka Devi, honouring their tireless efforts and loyalty to the school over the years.

The Chief Guest, Mr. B Santhanam, CEO Asia Pacific and India Chairman, Saint-Gobain India, addressed the gathering, inspiring the students with his words. He spoke about 4Es- Energy, Empathy, Enthusiasm and Exceling which he said makes the successful people different from others, which our students should follow.

The event saw parents being part of the audience and enjoying the performances of the children.
