On September 21st, 2014 Founder’s Day was celebrated. Smt. Manjubhashini was remembered through a Villu Pattu by the children of Bala Mandir. Children belonging to the Choir group sang a song on the greatness of mother and this was followed by a dance. There was a presentation on the growth of Bala Mandir over the 65 years under the guidance of Manjumma. The Chief Guest, Mrs. Uma Narayanan, Managing Trustee, SOS Children’s Villages of India, Chatnath Homes, shared her memories of her association with Bala Mandir, and especially with Manjumma. She explained how she was inspired by Manjumma’s work ethics, practical sense and love for her children.
