On 23rd, Ms. Kumudu Srinivasan, Managing Trustee of Vishranthi Charitable Trust and a close associate of Manjumma, presided over the function, where in the Bala Mandir Primary school children performed a Villu Paattu, depicting our founder, Ms. S. Manjubhashini’s life. Bala Mandir school children presented their response to “Child Rights” – in three stages – Pre-primary, Primary and Adolescence. 25 years service award was given to two helpers, both ex Balamandir children..
The BM family get together on 26th was an activity filled morning involving staff andmembers across Bala Mandir in meaningful and co-operative theatre presentations. The 10 vertical groups, after sharing personal anecdotes of interest, involved themselves in preparing a skit with a social message. 5 characters were randomly chosen and 5 supporting roles scripted into the drama. The presentations were a delightful experience and exposed a lot of talent amongst the employees of the organisation. Some rolesoutstandingly depicted, brought out the hidden talents of staff and members, and led to a good camaraderie amongst all.
