On March 10, 2025, Bala Mandir celebrated its 76th Anniversary at the Bala Mandir Cultural Centre. It was attended by members, well-wishers, friends of Bala Mandir, staff and children from Classes 3 to 8.
‘The Year That Was’ encapsulated all the activities of BM during the last year as part of the 75 year celebration, while a special edition of the video on Kinship Care beneficiaries evoked emotions from the audience. This was followed by a Cultural Programme – Songs by the Vidyalaya Primary School children, a dance on life skills learnt by the Jivikam children of BM MNC, a Tableau by the children of the Bala Mandir Home, highlighting the Women of India – culturally and historically, over the ages.
The second half of the programme consisted of recognising exemplary services by some of the employees through the Employee of the Year award, and also giving away awards to four staff members who had completed 25 years and 30 years of service for their respective unit.
We were happy to have with us as Chief Guest, Mr. Johny Tom Verghese, Director – Child Welfare & Special Services who not only gave away the awards, but also provided an insightful speech, which was appreciated by all.
